Payroll Specialist with Dutch

About the role

As a Payroll Specialist you will join the Payroll Team and become the first point of contact for HR and payroll inquiries. You will support employees and managers across the Netherlands and Belgium, handling everything from policy questions to payroll data processing.

Key responsibilities

• Answer regulatory and complex HR questions through multiple channels and escalate when needed.
• Maintain the payroll audit database, reconcile payroll data, and process adjustments such as bonuses, stock options and time accruals.
• Support HR processes including onboarding, contract changes, extensions and terminations.
• Create regular reports for internal stakeholders and drive process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations, support audits and contribute to HR projects like system upgrades.

Required profile

• Responsible, flexible, proactive and focused on quality.
• Strong integrity and good planning and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Fluent Dutch (asset) and at least B1 English.
• Solid knowledge of Dutch labour law and HR administrative processes.
• Proficiency in Excel, including lookup formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience with AFAS Profit and Workday is a plus.
• Good communication and social skills.
