Internal Controls Testing Specialist – Fixed Term

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking an Internal Controls Testing Specialist on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract in Krakow. You will assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls, support the ZICTT Agentic AI solution, and collaborate with stakeholders across locations to enhance the control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal controls testing for assigned Reporting Units using the ZICTT Agentic AI workspace.
• Support senior specialists in analysing financial reporting risks and control adequacy.
• Test sensitive controls involving highly confidential evidence.
• Collaborate with Internal Controls Managers and Control Owners, providing timely support.
• Ensure testing documentation meets Zurich methodology and undergoes proper review.
• Contribute to AI solution enhancements and identify efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in internal controls, compliance, audit, risk management or similar.
• Fluent English (C1); Spanish, Italian or German (B2) is a plus.
• Knowledge of finance/accounting processes, IT audit/governance, risk & compliance is advantageous.
• Experience in global or shared‑service environments and with AI or digital tools is beneficial.
• Professional certifications (CIA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, Security+, CISA, etc.) are considered assets.
