Experienced Web Scraping Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Oxylabs is an enterprise-grade web data infrastructure provider serving thousands of requests per second, with scrapers and parsers used by e-commerce, market intelligence and AI companies. As a remote Web Scraping Engineer, you will help build and maintain scalable scrapers and parsing solutions, with the team supporting you in learning to build your own scrapers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable scrapers and define resilient scraping strategies, unblocking websites for scraping
• Improve observability in the system
• Develop back-end solutions for scraping and parsing problems of various magnitudes
• Maintain the current system and develop new features related to scraping and parsing

Required profile

• Experience working with Python
• Understanding of computer science, including data structures, algorithms, computability and complexity
• Knowledge of how to unblock websites for scraping
• Ability to use different scraping techniques and open-source tools to build scrapers
• Experience with browser automation and asynchronous programming

Required skills

• Version control with Git
• Network (TLS/SSL) knowledge
• DevTools usage
• Nice to have: web development, CSS selectors / XPath, Go and C++, browser source code, Pydantic, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Redis, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, machine learning for scraping, scalable systems design
