Data Analyst – Fraud & User Segmentation

About the role

Tripledot Studios is looking for a Data Analyst to own the fraud side of user segmentation for its PuzzlePlay rewards platform. You will work closely with the gameplay signals analyst, product managers and data colleagues to keep the fraud detection system effective as patterns evolve.

Key responsibilities

• Review and continuously refine fraud signals such as IP spoofing, VPN usage and unusual play patterns to separate suspicious activity from legitimate users.
• Own the fraud‑related segments of the user segmentation system, defining signal interpretation and monitoring segment performance over time.
• Collaborate with the product team on verification tools, evaluating existing facial verification (FaceTec) and recommending additional methods like ID scanning or phone verification for specific markets.
• Investigate users flagged for manual review, including ambiguous cases, and propose improvements to the review workflow.
• Identify gaps in available signals and suggest third‑party tools to enhance the fraud detection roadmap.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience using data to investigate fraud and influence detection or prevention decisions.
• Experience designing or improving fraud signals, user segments, or review processes, with an interest in how tactics evolve.
• Ability to work with product and cross‑functional teams to translate analysis into operational fraud controls.
