Cloud Architect – Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

About the role

Join the Cost Processing & Transactions cluster of Commerzbank Poland as a Cloud Architect specializing in Google Cloud Platform. You will help define and govern scalable, secure, and resilient GCP architecture standards for enterprise applications and data platforms in a regulated banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design target‑state cloud architectures on GCP, including landing zones, networking, identity, security, observability and integration patterns.
• Provide architectural guidance and governance for application and platform teams, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
• Define reusable blueprints and reference implementations for infrastructure, deployment automation, resilience, scalability and cost efficiency.
• Drive cloud security architecture, covering IAM, segmentation, encryption, secret handling and policy enforcement across GCP services.
• Collaborate with development, operations, security and business stakeholders to support cloud transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or comparable professional experience in cloud architecture.
• Proven experience designing enterprise‑scale solutions on Google Cloud Platform, preferably in a regulated banking or finance environment.
• Very good English communication skills.

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services – networking, IAM, compute, storage, managed services.
• BigQuery as a central data platform.
• Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
• CI/CD, automation and governance frameworks.
• Cloud security principles, disaster recovery, resilience and cost optimization.
