Airframe Fatigue & Damage Tolerance Senior Engineer

About the role

Join a pioneering structural analysis team focused on delivering best‑in‑class airframe solutions for next‑generation fuselage structures and an active flying fleet. As a Lead F&DT Engineer you will be the technical anchor for primary airframe structures, steering complex stress and fatigue analyses and guiding junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis work packages, set technical guidelines and approve stress dossiers.
• Define structural validation strategies with chief engineers, airworthiness authorities and design teams for new programs and fleet updates.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, ensuring high‑quality, consistent deliverables.
• Integrate advanced simulation techniques, automation workflows (Python) and structural health strategies into daily practice.
• Drive investigations of fleet issues, repair validations and multidisciplinary trade studies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
• Several years of experience in Fatigue & Damage Tolerance and related processes, methods and tools.
• Proven leadership of technical work packages and stakeholder management across cultures.
• Fluency in English (working language).

Required skills

• Deep proficiency with FEA platforms such as HyperWorks, Nastran/Patran and Abaqus.
• Strong Python programming for automation and advanced simulations.
• Expertise in airframe stress analysis and fatigue/damage tolerance methodologies.
