Software Engineer, Applied AI

About the role

Snowflake is building a high‑impact team to help the world’s most innovative companies unlock AI. As a Software Engineer, Applied AI you will work at the intersection of product, engineering and customer success, building production‑grade AI systems on the Snowflake AI Platform and Cortex.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, build and deploy enterprise‑grade AI solutions and sophisticated AI agents for strategic customers.
• Design, iterate and ship high‑quality code and ML pipelines using Python and SQL, moving from prototype to production.
• Own the full lifecycle of AI solutions, including monitoring, optimization and observability in large‑scale secure environments.
• Partner with customer data‑science and engineering teams as a trusted technical advisor.
• Collaborate with Snowflake product and engineering teams to feed real‑world feedback into the AI platform roadmap.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a passion for solving complex, ambiguous problems.
• Hands‑on experience building and shipping LLM‑based or ML applications.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT development and performance tuning.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
