Software Engineer - AI-Powered Invoice-to-Cash Platform

About the role

BlackLine, a SaaS company founded in 2001 that automates and controls the financial close process, is hiring a Software Engineer in Krakow for its AI-powered Invoice-to-Cash solution. The role sits on a mission-critical enterprise platform and works alongside experienced engineers in a fast-moving, high-quality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship features from concept to production, writing clean, performant and well-tested code.
• Use AI-accelerated development tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude) to speed up design, coding and testing.
• Contribute to the technical design of scalable, robust and maintainable solutions for the core SaaS platform.
• Partner with product managers, designers and other engineers to refine requirements, shape the technical roadmap and deliver value to customers.
• Ensure systems are built with a focus on performance, reliability and security for a global user base.
• Learn from senior engineers and architects about enterprise-scale systems, design patterns and best practices.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in using AI-driven development tools to improve software velocity and quality.
• Experience designing, building and deploying production-grade, scalable and secure SaaS applications.
• Experience taking projects from requirements through to launch.
• Solid foundation in modern software development practices, including CI/CD, automated testing and infrastructure-as-code.
• Strong observability mindset: logging, metrics and distributed tracing across microservices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working across time zones.
• Candidates living within a reasonable commute to an office will work in the office at least 3 days a week.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C# is required, with a deep understanding of software architecture, data structures and algorithms.
• Nice to have: experience in a regulated industry such as finance or accounting.
• Nice to have: knowledge of cloud-native technologies and experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Nice to have: familiarity with the principles of Responsible AI.
