SOC Engineer – Managed Services Operations

About the role

PwC's Cyber Security practice, within Risk Assurance, Compliance and Analytics services, is looking for a SOC Engineer in Gdańsk. You will help clients build analytics and technology solutions that detect, monitor and predict risk, and support managed SOC services. The role is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve SIEM, EDR/XDR and related security monitoring platforms supporting managed SOC services.
• Onboard and integrate new log sources, security tools and monitored environments.
• Troubleshoot platform, integration and data-ingestion issues.
• Develop automation and operational improvements that improve service quality and efficiency.
• Support implementation of monitoring use cases, reports and dashboards.
• Work with SOC analysts to improve detection capabilities and support onboarding of new managed services customers.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and collaborate with client technical teams and vendors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Threat Detection and Response services.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud engineering or systems administration.
• IT or technical education.
• Polish at minimum C1 level and English at B2 or higher; German at B2 or higher is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Basic scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell or similar).
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Nice to have: hands-on SIEM, EDR/XDR experience, SOC process knowledge, client-facing coordination experience and industry-recognized certifications.
