Site Contracts Lead

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. As a Site Contracts Lead, you will oversee and coordinate the preparation, negotiation and execution of clinical trial agreements and budgets for assigned studies or portfolios. The role is home or office based.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee contract management workstreams so that deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
• Manage end-to-end site contracting for assigned studies, including template use, negotiation and execution tracking.
• Act as a primary escalation point for contract issues, proposing solutions that balance sponsor, site and internal requirements.
• Work with legal, finance and project teams on contract language, budget assumptions and risk positions.
• Monitor contracting timelines and metrics, identify bottlenecks and drive corrective actions to improve cycle times.
• Guide and oversee Site Contracts Negotiators working on the same studies or programmes.
• Contribute to contracting playbooks, templates and standard processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law, business, life sciences or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in clinical site contracting or similar contract negotiation roles within a CRO, pharma or healthcare company.
• Solid contract management experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
• Good understanding of clinical trial agreements, budget structures and key legal and compliance considerations.
• Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple studies and priorities.
• Experience guiding or coordinating the work of others.
