Senior Reinsurance Broker (Treaty) – Warsaw

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Broker / Senior Reinsurance Broker to join its Marsh Re team in Warsaw. The role is hybrid, with at least three days a week spent in the office, and focuses on delivering treaty reinsurance solutions to clients across CEE markets within a collaborative, market-leading team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver treaty reinsurance broking services and solutions to clients across CEE markets
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, reinsurers and colleagues
• Manage the renewal of existing reinsurance contracts
• Assess client needs and identify opportunities, and support the design and structuring of new contracts
• Place business with client-approved reinsurers and negotiate pricing, terms and conditions
• Work with the Data Analytics team on customised client solutions
• Follow up on contract documentation and travel occasionally for business
• Stay up to date with product lines, markets and risk and insurance trends

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience as a reinsurance broker, broker or underwriter
• Strong knowledge of the treaty reinsurance market, ideally in CEE
• Technical expertise in reinsurance, with particular emphasis on property & casualty
• Strong verbal and written English, good communication, presentation and project management skills
• Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and manage a heavy workload

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Problem-solving skills
