Senior Python Developer - L3 Support (SRE/Python + Unity)

About the role

Altoros, an IT services provider, is looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer for an L3 support role combining SRE work with Python and Unity integration. This is a part-time position of 6 to 12 months, starting in August, with a working window Monday to Friday, 15:00 to midnight Warsaw time, and a location in Poland or to the west.

Key responsibilities

• Support a Django application, CMS, backend services, PostgreSQL database and GCP infrastructure.
• Review logs to diagnose issues and resolve post-launch bugs.
• Monitor application performance, response times and error rates.
• Tune PostgreSQL queries, manage indexes and run database maintenance.
• Manage backups and apply schema changes.
• Update the Django app in response to integrated technologies such as Unity and Kaltura.

Required profile

• 4+ years of commercial Python and production-grade backend systems.
• Incident response and RCA experience, comfortable working independently.
• Proven support and SLA experience.
• B2+ level of English or higher.

Required skills

• Django and DRF (REST API design, authentication, serialization, pagination, custom middleware)
• PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimisation, indexing, transactions, ORM and raw SQL)
• GCP: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, logging and monitoring, basic CI/CD
• Nice to have: Unity/Kaltura integration, medtech background and HIPAA awareness, DevOps practices, Django admin panel development, HTML/CSS/TS/JS
