Senior Go Engineer (Core Banking)

About the role

Colibrix One builds AI-powered payment technologies for PSPs, EMIs and neobanks across the EU and UK, and is looking for a Senior Go Engineer focused on core banking. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, a collaborative mindset and the ability to mentor team members through knowledge and experience.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Go development, including 3+ years in fintech, banking, payments or other transaction-critical systems
• Experience building and operating production services, including incident investigation, safe deployments, database migrations and observability
• Ability to turn business requirements into technical solutions and drive implementation independently
• Strong communication skills and working proficiency in Russian and English
• Banking domain experience is highly valued: ledgers, accounting flows, accounts and balance management, holds, reversals, adjustments, reconciliation and settlement, and SEPA, SWIFT and ISO 20022

Required skills

• Distributed systems, microservices and API design (REST and gRPC)
• Advanced PostgreSQL, including transactions, isolation levels, locking, indexing, migrations and concurrency
• Transactional system design with idempotency, retries, event deduplication, transactional outbox, sagas and reconciliation
• Event-driven architectures with message brokers such as NATS, Kafka or RabbitMQ
• AWS, Kubernetes and CI/CD
• Integration with banks, payment providers, processors, AML/KYC or anti-fraud platforms
• Nice to have: Temporal or a similar workflow engine, NATS/JetStream, GitLab CI/CD, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or Tempo, event sourcing, PCI DSS and GDPR, and AI coding tools
