Senior Corporate Communications Manager Poland & CEE (maternity cover)

About the role

Zalando is seeking a Senior Corporate Communications Manager to cover a maternity leave in the International Markets team. Based in Warsaw, you will steer Zalando’s reputation across Poland and selected CEE markets, acting as the spokesperson and leading media campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement media campaigns and communication strategies to tell global and local stories.
• Act as spokesperson for the covered markets, handling media inquiries and crisis situations.
• Steer local agencies and coordinate day‑to‑day communications activities.
• Collaborate closely with Corporate Affairs, Global Communications, Public Affairs and Consumer PR.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple disciplines and management levels.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus in ambiguous environments.
• Identify risks and opportunities early and future‑proof the company’s reputation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of media‑relations experience in Poland and/or other CEE markets, preferably in corporate communications.
• Native Polish speaker with excellent written English; additional CEE languages a plus.
• Strong sense of ownership, innovation and attention to detail.
• Team player with analytical, empathetic and creative thinking abilities.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional processes and build strong internal relationships.
• Deep knowledge of local media landscapes and established journalist networks.
