About the role

Join 11bitstudios in Warsaw as a Senior AI Programmer working on the upcoming Frostpunk 1886 title. You will lead the design and implementation of AI systems, ensuring they meet gameplay and performance goals while collaborating closely with the development team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and refine AI modules and enhancements based on project requirements.
• Assess technical requirements and choose appropriate implementation approaches.
• Maintain and improve existing code, fixing bugs and optimizing performance.
• Diagnose and resolve programming errors efficiently.
• Collaborate daily with designers, artists, and other programmers to deliver cohesive gameplay experiences.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of professional programming experience, with at least 5 years using Unreal Engine.
• Strong C++ expertise and deep understanding of modern game design and gameplay systems.
• Proven track record of delivering complex gameplay features from concept to release.
• Ability to define programming standards, best practices, and development workflows.
• Experience mentoring junior programmers and guiding technical decisions across multiple features.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
