Resource Management & Allocation Team Leader (Freelance)

About the role

PwC Poland is seeking a freelance Resource Management & Allocation Team Leader to drive effective staffing of its Digital&IPA technology projects. You will lead a dedicated resource management team while staying hands‑on with day‑to‑day allocation activities across a portfolio of IT initiatives for financial sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end resource allocation across technology capabilities, matching project demand with available skills and capacity.
• Maintain a real‑time view of current and upcoming availability, project assignments, and allocation gaps.
• Handle complex or business‑critical allocation cases and act as escalation point for resource conflicts.
• Collaborate with Delivery Managers and Capability Leaders to anticipate capacity shortages and allocation risks.
• Decide on sourcing strategies – internal allocation, external recruitment, or alternative sourcing – based on skills, timelines and business priorities.
• Partner with Recruitment to translate capability gaps into hiring demand and continuously reassess needs.
• Drive bench management, ensuring employees are considered for suitable opportunities.
• Own and improve reporting on allocations, capacity, utilisation and workforce demand.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading resource management or allocation functions in an IT consulting environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with Delivery, Capability and Recruitment teams.
• Ability to analyse capacity data, identify risks and propose proactive solutions.
• Excellent communication and decision‑making capabilities.
