R&D Associate Engineer – Switchgear

About the role

ABB is looking for an R&D Engineer to join the Technology Center team in Przasnysz, Poland, within the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division. The role reports to the R&D Team Leader and focuses on switchgear applications. The work model is onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and validate new concepts for switchgear applications
• Contribute to R&D projects and work with international cross-functional teams
• Prepare documentation and present analysis results
• Take part in prototype preparation and testing
• Showcase expertise by proposing ideas and working both independently and as part of the R&D team

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related field
• Skilled in and enjoys working with design, with a passion for design improvements
• Analytical thinking combined with out-of-the-box thinking
• Good written and spoken English
