Procurement Specialist (Italian Speaking)

About the role

ABB is looking for a Procurement Specialist in Krakow who speaks Italian, reporting to the SCM Service Delivery Manager. The role supports the businesses through the implementation, maintenance and compliance of purchasing and logistics activities in the Procurement function, within the EUOPC (European Operation Center) Procurement Team. The work model is hybrid, with 8 office days per month.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end PR to PO process for direct and indirect procurement in SAP, ensuring timely and accurate purchase orders.
• Monitor open purchase orders, follow up on confirmations and goods receipts, resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Track procurement processes and performance, maintain procurement reports, and keep material master data and SAP records accurate.
• Handle purchasing and logistics changes and resolve procurement issues on cost, quality and delivery.
• Support supplier lifecycle activities, including registration, qualification and first-level escalation, and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Deliver and take part in training programmes to ensure compliance and professional development.

Required profile

• Fluent business English (B2/C1) and Italian (B2/C1), written and spoken.
• Experience in operational procurement or supply chain management, supporting purchasing and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Customer-focused, proactive and innovative in teamwork and communication.

Required skills

• Enhanced knowledge of SAP; hands-on SAP Ariba experience is an asset.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are an advantage.
