Operational Excellence Senior Specialist

About the role

Drive meaningful change by improving Customs operations and shaping the future of Operational Excellence across the NEC Area.

Key responsibilities

• Lead deployment and continuous improvement of The Maersk Way (TMW) across Customs operations.
• Drive performance using Lean methodologies, Kaizen workshops, and data‑driven decision making.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver sustainable operational improvements.
• Establish performance management governance, routines, and operational standards.
• Coach and develop frontline teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Digital and Data teams to ensure initiatives are scalable and technology‑enabled.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Customs operations or management within logistics or supply chain.
• Strong background in Operational Excellence, Lean, or Continuous Improvement (A3, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management).
• Proven track record of delivering measurable business improvements through cross‑functional collaboration.
• Experience leading change and influencing stakeholders in matrix organisations.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder‑management skills with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach.
