Operational Buyer

About the role

FANAR S.A, a leading manufacturer of machining tools, is seeking an Operational Buyer to support procurement activities in line with Seco Group guidelines. The role ensures accurate ERP data, supplier compliance, and cost‑effective purchasing while collaborating with multiple internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare RFQs, evaluate offers and select suppliers according to procurement procedures.
• Conduct commercial negotiations and build long‑term supplier relationships.
• Create, process and administer purchase orders, maintaining all required documentation.
• Monitor order fulfillment, address deviations and optimise costs while meeting quality and delivery targets.
• Coordinate customs clearance and oversee supplier contract execution.
• Maintain the ERP M3 database in line with internal control requirements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Production, Maintenance, Logistics, Sales, Quality, Engineering and R&D.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement and cost‑optimization projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of customs and transportation regulations.
• Ability to work under time pressure, self‑motivated and highly organised.
