Automation Specialist (Inżynier Automatyk)

About the role

We are seeking an Automation Specialist to drive continuous improvement of production processes and machinery reliability at our Wrzesnia facility. The role involves close collaboration with the global Engineering Department and direct interaction with machine suppliers to ensure optimal operation of automation systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve production processes and machinery reliability.
• Coordinate industrialization and engineering change processes with the global Engineering Department.
• Use CAD software and 3D printing for prototyping and spare‑part manufacturing.
• Manage medium‑complex projects and keep machinery in optimal condition.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on automation, electrical, electronic and mechanical systems.
• Create PLC software and hardware modifications and program HMI operator panels.
• Report spare‑part shortages, update technical documentation, and maintain compliance with EHS regulations.
• Communicate with other sites, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve production‑machine issues.

Required profile

• Technical degree in automation or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing industrial automation systems.
• Ability to manage medium‑complex projects and work in an English‑speaking environment.
• Understanding of continuous‑improvement and quality tools.

• Automation technology and breakdown maintenance.
• PLC programming and HMI operator panel configuration.
• Mechanical/CAD skills – 3D and 2D design.
• Electrical and electronic knowledge.
• Building automation systems and control‑systems integration.
• Computer System Validation (CSV) and engineering document management.
• Equipment calibration, spare‑parts management and parts sourcing.
• Root cause analysis (RCA) and production scheduling.
• Industrial machinery diagnostics and manufacturing process controls.
