Mid-Level Java Software Engineer

About the role

Motorola Solutions' ASTRO department develops applications that manage ASTRO networks, using a Java backend and a web frontend. The applications are built with CI/CD pipelines and are used by customers on-premise. You will join a team of experienced software engineers building a Network Management Provisioning Manager application, working mostly unsupervised in a Scrum team with daily syncs and a biweekly sprint pace.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of experience in software development with a similar technology stack
• Ability to work mostly independently in a Scrum team
• Team player, as work is split into many user stories with interaction points
• Hybrid work mode; no relocation needed

Required skills

• Detailed knowledge of Java, Tomcat and Hibernate
• Regular use of AI code generation with human and AI-assisted code review
• Knowledge of RHEL is a large plus; PostgreSQL is a plus
