Junior General Ledger Accountant

About the role

Publicis Re:Sources, the shared service arm of Publicis Groupe, is hiring a Junior General Ledger Accountant in Lublin. You will support Record-to-Report (R2R) work for your assigned market, helping with month-end close and day-to-day accounting so that the numbers are accurate, compliant and ready for audit. You report to the General Ledger Team Leader and work with colleagues across departments.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month-end closing tasks according to the close calendar and cut-off rules
• Post standard and recurring journal entries (accruals, payroll, prepaids, bank entries)
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations using standard templates
• Perform intercompany matching and support confirmations
• Carry out fixed asset accounting (capitalization, depreciation checks, disposals)
• Spot posting errors, carry out first-level analysis and escalate issues in time
• Maintain proper documentation and audit evidence, following SOPs, Janus, SLA and internal control requirements
• Support audits, internal checks and ad-hoc requests
• Take part in knowledge transfer, training and continuous improvement
• Prepare and submit VAT tax declarations and handle statistics and other external reporting where applicable
• Prepare management reports and analysis as needed, and other tasks requested by the supervisor

Required profile

• Degree (or ongoing studies) in Accounting, Finance or Economics, or a level 1 course according to the Polish Association of Accountants
• Professional level in the language of the market served, and English at B1 level

Required skills

• SAP - basic user
• HFM / Blackline - basic navigation
• MS Excel - basic knowledge
