IT Backend Java Internship (f/m)

About the role

Join Bosch’s international development team in Warsaw to work on a core internal application using Agile methods. As a Backend Java intern you will contribute to the full software lifecycle while gaining hands‑on experience with modern technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, improve and extend the current software stack with new functionalities.
• Participate in the entire development lifecycle from requirements gathering to design, implementation, testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with developers, process experts, architects and technical contacts of related systems.
• Take part in code reviews, mentor junior developers and promote best‑practice coding standards.

Required profile

• Current student (2‑4 years) in an IT‑related field.
• Available to work at least 30 hours per week.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, flexible and able to work in a virtual, multicultural team.

Required skills

• Java (including Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST APIs).
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Jupiter, Mockito).
• Version control with Git/Git Flow.
• Understanding of SOLID principles, Clean Code and Test‑Driven Development.
