Expert Gameplay Programmer (Frostpunk 1886)

About the role

Join 11 bit studios in Warsaw as an Expert Gameplay Programmer working on the upcoming Frostpunk 1886 title. The role is hybrid, combining office collaboration with remote flexibility, and focuses on delivering high‑quality gameplay systems for a city‑builder/strategy experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prototype, develop and maintain core gameplay features.
• Evaluate new technologies and identify opportunities to integrate them into gameplay code.
• Participate in the gameplay feature design process.
• Debug and optimise gameplay code for performance and stability.
• Analyse technical risk and define requirements for gameplay solutions.
• Enforce good programming practices across the programming team.
• Share knowledge and experience with teammates.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional programming experience in the game development industry.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience with Unreal Engine.
• Strong communication skills.
• Expert practical knowledge of C++.
• Deep understanding of gameplay solutions used in modern video games.
• Continuous awareness of current technology trends.
• Experience with city‑builder or strategy game development is a plus.
