Customs Declarant – Norway

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Customs Declarant to join our international customs operations team in Warsaw, focusing on shipments to and from Norway. You will handle import and export declarations, support transit procedures and bonded warehouse activities, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process customs declarations for import and export shipments to and from Norway.
• Handle transit procedures and maintain accurate bonded warehouse records.
• Register, review and perform quality assurance checks on customs and trade documentation.
• Ensure customs declarations comply with applicable import and export laws, regulations and procedures.
• Perform goods classification and provide accurate customs data for declarations.
• Cooperate with suppliers, carriers, recipients and internal customs teams to ensure efficient customs clearance.

Required profile

• Relevant professional experience in customs, logistics, freight forwarding or international trade.
• Knowledge of current customs laws, regulations and procedures for import and export.
• Practical experience in customs declarations and goods classification.
• Understanding of transit procedures and customs documentation.
• Very good written and spoken English; knowledge of Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, structured approach and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with customs clearance software.
