Business Analyst / Product Owner

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner to join a senior delivery team modernising a business‑critical aviation platform. The role blends business and systems analysis with product ownership, focusing on complex data, integration and API landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the existing solution by reviewing Java/Spring code, Oracle schemas, PL/SQL and data samples to reverse‑engineer business rules.
• Map current operational processes through interviews and shadowing, producing As‑Is documentation and gap analysis.
• Design To‑Be processes, portals and operational tooling, including user journeys, wireframes and data/API specifications.
• Define migration, parallel run and cut‑over scenarios, and own the product backlog with epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Run workshops, act as the main functional contact for stakeholders and support UAT and go‑live activities.

Required profile

• 4+ years of commercial experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner or Systems Analyst, preferably on legacy modernisation projects.
• Proven ability to reconstruct existing systems and design target state documentation.
• Capability to read Java/Spring code and write SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL) to understand logic.
• Strong process‑modeling skills (BPMN, data‑flow and integration diagrams).
• Experience defining portals, user roles, journeys and functional specifications.
• Good understanding of cloud architectures (Azure), REST APIs and data platforms such as Databricks.
• Hands‑on backlog management using Jira or similar tools.
• Excellent English communication and facilitation skills.
