AP Accountant (German) – Finance Managed Services

About the role

Join PwC Poland's Finance Managed Services team as an AP Accountant with German language skills. You will support domestic and international clients by handling end‑to‑end accounts‑payable processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Process all transactions and documents for the assigned accounting process, ensuring compliance with procedures.
• Manage the full invoice lifecycle: verification, PO matching, coding, prioritisation, discrepancy resolution, and payment execution.
• Monitor accounts and outgoings, verify unusual expenses, reconcile payable reports, and support forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve issues, address customer requests, and onboard new members.
• Meet performance targets such as SLAs, KPIs, and customer‑satisfaction metrics.
• Identify and propose process improvements and participate in lean initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional working proficiency in English and German.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field (preferred).
• 1‑3 years of hands‑on Accounts Payable experience, including invoice verification and payment preparation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience in onboarding clients or rolling out enhanced finance service procedures.
• Familiarity with AI‑based tools for task automation and data analysis.
