Head of Group IT – Lead IT Modernization across Poland & Romania

About the role

We are seeking a senior IT leader to own and modernise the group‑wide IT estate for a fast‑growing, PE‑backed ERP, finance and HR software group operating in Poland and Romania. Reporting from Warsaw, you will drive the unification of disparate post‑M&A systems, strengthen security, optimise spend and lead a high‑impact team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce group‑wide IT strategy, governance, policies, standards and procedures.
• Lead post‑M&A IT integration: consolidate infrastructure, unify identity, standardise tooling, integrate networks and baseline security.
• Own the Azure and AWS cloud estates, on‑prem infrastructure, networking and the corporate IT backbone, ensuring uptime, capacity and lifecycle management.
• Manage the IT budget, vendor relationships and software/hardware licensing, negotiating contracts and optimising spend.
• Establish and maintain security baselines across all entities, driving risk mitigation and compliance.
• Guide and develop a high‑performing, cross‑functional IT team across Warsaw and Romania.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading group‑wide IT modernisation and integration initiatives, preferably in a multi‑entity, acquisition‑driven environment.
• Strong background in ERP, finance or HR software organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to unify heterogeneous IT stacks and drive standardisation.
• Experience managing large‑scale cloud (Azure, AWS) and on‑prem infrastructure environments.
• Track record of effective budget and vendor management.
