Team Lead – Java Backend

About the role

We are a product‑focused company building a Master Data Management platform that offers a stable, long‑term environment for engineers. As a Team Lead (Java) you will combine people leadership with deep technical expertise to guide a small development team.

Key responsibilities

• Support and develop team members while ensuring the technical quality of the systems they build and operate.
• Make architectural and technical decisions, spending most of your time coding and reviewing with the team.
• Coordinate work within a 3‑5‑person team, keeping meetings to a minimum (2‑3 hours per week).
• Collaborate with other teams to align on delivery goals and maintain overall product value.

Required profile

• Several years of professional backend development experience using modern Java technologies.
• Proven experience mentoring, leading or coordinating engineers.
• Strong understanding of data and database concepts.
• Ability to organise, coordinate work and make confident technical decisions.
