Solution Architect – Digital Services

About the role

Skywise, a digital services arm of Airbus, is looking for a Solution Architect to join its Gdańsk office. You will work with architects, development teams and stakeholders to design resilient, scalable solutions that support end‑to‑end aviation operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and business owners to align technical solutions with requirements.
• Lead the solution‑architecture lifecycle: gather requirements, design, document, evaluate and evolve architectures.
• Create and prioritize enabler features in the program backlog and translate them into user stories for development teams.
• Provide architectural guidance and ensure adherence to standards across development teams.
• Participate in non‑functional requirement assessments and architecture decision reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience and at least 1 year in a software‑architecture role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems and event‑driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS).
• Familiarity with design patterns, algorithms and architecture patterns/anti‑patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software security standards and best practices.
