About the role
Air Liquide Engineering & Construction seeks an experienced Site QA/QC Manager to lead quality assurance and control on a world‑scale industrial gas construction project in Kraków. You will be the guardian of engineering excellence, ensuring all civil, mechanical, piping and electrical works meet strict global standards and safety regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy, manage and audit the site‑specific Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct daily field inspections for mechanical, structural, civil and E&I activities, verifying compliance with engineering drawings.
- Oversee welding engineering compliance, welder qualifications and Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) tracking for high‑pressure piping.
- Enforce specialty quality protocols such as oxygen‑cleanliness and cryogenic insulation standards.
- Lead pre‑inspection meetings with subcontractors, witness critical hold points and monitor contractor quality performance.
- Issue and track Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), drive root‑cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Review and validate contractor Quality Turnover Packages and As‑Built documentation for handover to commissioning.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum 8 years of QA/QC experience on large‑scale industrial construction sites (oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial gas preferred).
- Certified Welding Inspector (AWS‑CWI, CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent) with strong knowledge of NDT methods.
- Proficient with international codes such as ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII and API standards.
- Strong leadership, collaborative mindset and meticulous attention to detail.
