Senior VFX Artist – Hybrid (Wrocław)

About the role

Ten Square Games is looking for a Senior VFX Artist to enhance combat visuals in one of its mobile shooter projects. You will work in a hybrid model, spending three days a week in the Wrocław office and two days remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a full range of combat VFX, including muzzle flashes, tracers, impacts, ricochets, and explosions.
• Collaborate closely with Game Design and Animation teams to ensure VFX support gameplay readability and player experience.
• Shape the feel of weapons and ammunition through high‑quality, responsive effects.
• Optimize VFX for mobile performance while preserving visual quality.
• Iterate on work based on feedback and play‑testing to continuously improve in‑game feel.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating high‑quality VFX for action/FPS/TPS games (AAA or PC/console).
• Strong understanding of real‑time VFX workflows and particle systems in Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Hands‑on experience with tools such as EmberGen, Substance Designer, and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of projectile behavior and interaction with various surfaces.
• Practical expertise in optimizing VFX for mobile devices (overdraw, draw calls, shader performance).
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
