Senior Solutions Architect - AI Infrastructure Networking (Remote Europe)

About the role

Mirantis, a Kubernetes-native AI infrastructure company, is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect with deep networking expertise to join the Voyager team in its Office of the CTO. You will own the network solutioning of k0rdent AI, the platform for building and operating GPU clouds and AI factories, from metal to model. The role combines research with hands-on, outward-facing work: designing large GPU cluster interconnections and tenant isolation, turning designs into reference architectures, proofs of concept and working code, and presenting to engineers, executives and conference audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and publish network reference architectures for k0rdent AI, from single racks to multi-thousand-GPU clusters, including InfiniBand and RoCEv2 fabrics, front-end, storage and management networks, and multi-tenant isolation (InfiniBand partitions, VRFs, EVPN-VXLAN, Kubernetes network policy)
• Host and platform networking: Linux NIC/DPU/SuperNIC exposure, Kubernetes CNI, Multus, SR-IOV, RDMA, KubeVirt and virtual machine networking
• Research emerging AI networking technologies, prototype designs in the lab, and publish findings internally and externally
• Build and validate proofs of concept with customers and partners, and write automation and tooling (Python, Go, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes manifests)
• Run validation and benchmarking of fabrics and host configurations, and turn findings into design guidance
• Act as network subject matter expert in customer discovery, design reviews and workshops, and present at industry events and partner summits

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years in network engineering or network architecture, with at least 3 years in data center, HPC or cloud infrastructure networking
• Customer-facing experience as a solutions architect, pre-sales engineer, consultant or technical lead
• Excellent written and spoken English, presentation skills and experience in an international, distributed team

Required skills

• Data center network design: spine-leaf, Clos, rail-optimised GPU fabrics, oversubscription, ECMP
• InfiniBand, RoCEv2, BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, VRFs
• Kubernetes networking (CNI, Multus, SR-IOV, RDMA, KubeVirt) and Linux networking
• Scripting in Python or Go, Git, CI and infrastructure-as-code

Nice to have: hands-on NVIDIA networking, GPU cloud or HPC operator experience, bare-metal provisioning, SDN controllers, global load balancing, Mirantis products, open-source contributions and additional languages.
