Senior iOS Developer – BLE & Hardware (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior iOS Developer who lives and breathes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and enjoys turning code into physical interactions. The position starts on a freelance, time‑and‑material basis, with the possibility of converting to a permanent contract after a successful trial period.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications that communicate with hardware peripherals over BLE.
• Participate in specification, planning, and estimation of new modules and features.
• Write and maintain unit tests using XCTest, Quick, and Nimble with a TDD mindset.
• Keep CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Travis) healthy and efficient.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
• Share knowledge through tech talks, internal documentation, and pair programming.
• Collaborate daily with firmware engineers, designers, QA, and product managers.
• Integrate AI tools into the development workflow as a productivity multiplier.

Required profile

• Senior‑level iOS developer with deep expertise in BLE communication.
• Self‑starter who takes ownership of their work and asks “why” before “how”.
• Comfortable working remotely with flexible hours and occasional evening calls for US‑based clients.
• Enjoys challenging assumptions, experimenting, and learning from failures.
• Willing to treat AI as a daily tool rather than a gimmick.
