Senior Full Stack Engineer, AI Builder

About the role

CoverGo is rebuilding insurance processes on a modern platform and AI agents, and is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who treats AI as a creative material rather than a feature on a roadmap. The team is small, the mandate large, and the person chosen decides what to build, prototypes it and ships drafts to real customers quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Pick the biggest lever for customers each sprint and drive it to live, surfacing the next one yourself
• Build with AI as a primary tool: OCR, document understanding, generation, agent loops and evaluation harnesses
• Ship prototypes fast and turn them into production-grade code
• Work directly with customers on real claims, underwriting screens and broker workflows
• Improve the codebase through reviews, refactors, testability and observability
• Propose and adopt skills, agents, internal tools and engineering standards

Required profile

• 6+ years building production systems, with a track record of complex, customer-facing software shipped
• At least one substantive AI-driven feature built and shipped
• Strong fundamentals: OO, design patterns, testing, web security, performance
• Fluent with AI, having shipped something real with LLMs or agents
• High agency, strong opinions and good communication with non-technical stakeholders

Required skills

• Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, Vue and some React, GraphQL, MongoDB, Docker, AWS
• Cloud comfort: AWS, Azure or GCP, at least one in depth
