Senior Financial Crime Investigator

About the role

As a Senior Analyst at AML RightSource in Krakow, you will work directly with clients, including banks and non-bank financial institutions, to detect and investigate unusual financial activity and mitigate financial crime risks. The role combines quality control with hands-on analysis of account activity and client files, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational policies through Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to identify suspicious or unusual activity.
• Prepare clear, concise written summaries with recommendations and conclusions.
• Review client files and account activity for compliance with KYC and AML/BSA regulations.
• Perform quality control reviews of work done by Associate Analysts.
• Support the Manager in supervising a team of analysts to meet quality and production goals.
• Assist with client communication, performance assessments and development of client-specific tools and training.
• Guide analysts on workflow and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in AML/BSA or financial crime compliance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, able to turn findings into clear reports.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and collaborate in a team.
• Preferred: professional certification such as CAMS or CKYCA, Master's degree, strong knowledge of banking regulations and financial crime laws.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with quick learning of new tools.
