Senior Financial Accountant – Record to Report

About the role

As a Senior Financial Accountant (R2R) you will own group accounting for a fast‑growing European SaaS company. You will lead month‑end close, ensure accurate reporting and help transition accounting activities in‑house as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end group accounting across a multi‑entity European setup, including month‑end close, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, eliminations and VAT.
• Manage external tax and compliance providers, transition accounting processes in‑house and establish robust controls.
• Partner with FP&A and FinOps to deliver reliable actuals, maintain coding rules and resolve exceptions.
• Design and document accounting playbooks, SOPs and automation workflows.
• Prepare for statutory audits and act as the company‑side counterpart.

Required profile

• Strong experience running month‑end close, reconciliations, intercompany accounting and statutory reporting across multiple entities.
• Proven ability to manage external accounting/tax providers and transition activities in‑house.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP‑grade accounting ledgers and a proactive, autonomous work style.
• Experience in a high‑growth or scale‑up environment with an AI‑first, automation‑oriented mindset.
