Senior Cloud Engineer – Data Platforms & Optimization

About the role

Join the Sales Analytics cluster as a Senior Cloud Engineer, designing resilient cloud architectures and enabling scalable data‑processing solutions that support advanced analytics and AI‑driven use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise scalable cloud‑native solutions on GCP.
• Improve performance, reliability, security and cost efficiency of cloud platforms.
• Design and support data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines and analytical workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Define cloud architecture standards and engineering best practices.
• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership.
• Collaborate with data engineers, developers and architects to deliver robust solutions.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
• Python development.
• SQL.
• Cloud architecture and distributed systems.
• Cloud optimisation, scalability and performance tuning.
• Data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Dataproc, Dataflow, dbt (nice to have).
• Cloud security and observability (nice to have).
• Microservices and API architecture (nice to have).
• GenAI / Agentic AI experience (nice to have).
