Senior Backend Engineer (Python) – Full‑Stack Mindset

About the role

Join an AI‑first engineering team delivering modern financial applications for a leading Japanese financial group. You will design and build scalable, high‑performance backend services while collaborating across an international, remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python‑based backend applications and services, including REST APIs and integrations.
• Build end‑to‑end solutions on Databricks and deploy cloud‑native components on AWS.
• Take ownership of technical solutions from requirements analysis through architecture, implementation and deployment.
• Contribute to frontend work with Vue.js when needed and leverage AI‑assisted development tools to improve efficiency.
• Participate in technical planning, code reviews, testing and architectural discussions with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of commercial Python backend development experience.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, REST APIs, distributed systems and cloud‑based development (preferably AWS).
• Ability to work independently, solve complex problems and make scalable technical decisions.
• Advanced English communication skills for collaboration with international clients and teams.
