QA Engineer - Fintech Payments

About the role

Clear Junction is a global payments company licensed and regulated by the FCA in the UK, offering regulated end-to-end payment solutions built on its own technology. Its main IT office is in Gdansk, Poland. As a QA Engineer in the IT team, you will ensure the quality of the company's financial products, services and systems through comprehensive testing strategies covering both automation and manual testing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for financial products, services and systems
• Manage the QA process so that security requirements are met
• Develop and present ideas for software and service improvements
• API testing with Postman and API testing automation using a JS framework
• Functional testing of business logic, from simple to complex multi-level logic
• Help develop automated testing scripts and tools, and continuously improve testing processes
• Keep up with industry standards and best practices, and help create and maintain testing documentation

Required profile

• Established experience in software testing (financial projects desirable)
• Ability to apply testing techniques in practice
• Experience in API testing and API testing automation, and in testing business logic
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, able to work independently and in a team
• Nice to have: higher technical education, documentation experience, familiarity with the financial industry and regulatory requirements

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of SQL (normalised and denormalised databases)
• Experience with Postman and JMeter
• Nice to have: basic knowledge of a programming language such as JS, Java or C++, and familiarity with financial regulations
