QA Engineer – Electrical Systems Testing

About the role

Join ETAP's R&D team in Krakow as a QA Test Engineer. You will ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of electrical systems through rigorous testing, automation, and quality practices.

Key responsibilities

• Define, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for electrical systems and components.
• Design and maintain automated test solutions to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Verify selection and compliance of electrical equipment against standards and specifications.
• Perform and validate electrical calculations (power, current, voltage, thermal, protections, etc.).
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Apply QA methodologies throughout the development lifecycle and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.
• Explore AI‑based tools to enhance testing, analysis, or defect detection when relevant.

Required profile

• A scientific background with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, UL).
• Experience with test automation, scripting, and custom frameworks.
• Good knowledge of QA fundamentals and electrical basics.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and a solid analytical mindset.
