Payments Assurance Analyst – Settlement Operations

About the role

Join Mastercard’s Payments Assurance team in Warsaw as a Settlement Operations Analyst. You will help safeguard the integrity of the global payments ecosystem by ensuring timely and accurate settlement of transactions across multiple markets and payment networks.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily settlement activities across multiple service cut‑off cycles.
• Manage the collection of customer payables and support cash‑management activities.
• Investigate and resolve settlement‑related inquiries and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain operational controls, logs, and key settlement records.
• Review and maintain settlement instructions, member account details, and wire‑transfer routing information.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and operational standards.
• Partner with teams across Mastercard to provide settlement expertise and operational support.
• Analyze data and develop reports that support business decision‑making.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and challenge the status quo.
• Drive efficiency initiatives through automation, simplification, and innovation.
• Participate in and coordinate projects that enhance settlement operations and customer experience.
• Leverage analytical tools and reporting solutions to investigate and resolve cash differences.
