Payment Specialist

About the role

Join Wilhelmsen’s global finance team as a Payment Specialist based in Szczecin. You will play a key part in processing supplier payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while supporting the company’s maritime operations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Verify supplier accounts by reconciling monthly statements.
• Respond to queries and resolve issues during transaction handling.
• Execute payments on schedule in line with KPIs, service level agreements, and internal controls.
• Maintain and improve process documentation (Visio diagrams, work instructions, guidelines).
• Ensure daily operations meet targets and deadlines.
• Review monthly reconciliations and perform month‑end closing tasks.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Experience in an Accounts Payable or payments environment (SSC/BPO experience is a plus).
• Education in economics, finance or a related field is advantageous.
