Mid DevOps Engineer (Security and Reliability)

About the role

We are looking for a Mid DevOps Engineer who will own the security and reliability surface of our multi‑region AWS infrastructure. The role sits at the intersection of security engineering and site reliability, designing controls at the edge, hardening cloud posture, and building observability that can be audited and trusted by customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Envoy‑based edge security, WAF rules, rate limiting and bot management across cloud and CDN layers.
• Harden the AWS estate – IAM boundaries, least‑privilege access, threat detection and runtime monitoring on EKS.
• Operate production PostgreSQL/RDS clusters across regions, handling upgrades, performance tuning, encryption and access control.
• Own the monitoring stack (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Sentry, PagerDuty) and build low‑noise alerting with clear runbooks.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE or security engineering with deep AWS expertise.
• Hands‑on experience with edge or reverse‑proxy technologies (Envoy, nginx, Cloudflare, ModSecurity or equivalents).
• Production Kubernetes experience, preferably EKS, and strong Terraform skills.
• Proven track record operating PostgreSQL at scale and building effective observability.
• Security‑first mindset, able to think like an attacker and produce audit‑ready evidence.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
