Material Manager – Construction Site Logistics

About the role
Air Liquide Global Engineering & Construction Solutions Poland is looking for a Material Manager to control material flow on global construction sites. You will ensure that materials are available on time, in the right quality and quantity, while supporting site safety and project schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Control the complete material flow on site using standard company methods and systems.
- Plan, organize and manage site infrastructure, including warehouses, lay‑down areas, scrap disposal and spare parts.
- Coordinate with procurement, expediting, shipping and suppliers for all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Receive and issue materials to subcontractors, ensuring proper documentation and quality certificates.
- Identify, trace and report surplus, missing, short or damaged materials following Field Quality Control procedures.
- Monitor material handling performance with a focus on HSES, quality standards and erection schedules.
- Prepare weekly/monthly status reports and inputs for progress and close‑out reports.
- Lead and manage the site material team and subcontractors, holding regular review meetings.
Required profile
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in construction material management.
- Strong personal commitment to safety (HSES) and ability to promote safety standards.
- Proven leadership capabilities to manage teams and subcontractors under changing conditions.
- Fluent English with clear communication and high integrity.
- Eligibility to work in Poland and high mobility for worldwide construction sites.
Required skills
- Proficiency with construction management tools and material handling systems.
- Experience in site logistics, scheduling and rigging.
- Knowledge of international technical codes and contractual requirements.
- Familiarity with SAP (added value).
