Manager, Business Analysis – Settlement Operations

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Business Analysis to lead its global settlement ecosystem. The role combines risk governance, operational controls, business continuity and liquidity strategy to ensure a resilient settlement environment across banking partners.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert for settlement processes, controls, governance and risk‑related inquiries.
• Monitor global settlement bank partners, conduct annual risk assessments and oversee required oversight activities.
• Develop, maintain and annually refresh settlement policies, procedures and business continuity plans.
• Identify control gaps, inefficiencies or emerging risks in internal settlement processes and lead improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities for the settlement function.
• Support the global liquidity roadmap by defining and implementing liquidity solutions with settlement banks.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects related to settlement operations, risk mitigation and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk governance, operational controls or settlement operations within a financial services environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and propose actionable solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• High degree of ownership, curiosity and strategic foresight, thriving in fast‑paced, global settings.
