Manager, Accounting, Global Inventory COE

About the role

Join a high‑impact global finance team responsible for the accuracy, control, and governance of inventory accounting across a complex international organization. In this leadership position you will manage a team of accounting professionals, drive continuous improvement, and partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 5+ accounting professionals handling inventory‑related technical accounting activities.
• Oversee month‑end close, including complex journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and inventory transactions.
• Manage key inventory accounting areas such as goods received not invoiced, goods in transit, excess/obsolete inventory, costing, reserves and related assets.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and shared services to support financial reporting and timely book closure.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, US GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Support internal and external audits, including control testing and Sarbanes‑Oxley activities.
• Drive process improvement, standardisation, system enhancements and transition projects.
• Serve as primary contact for inventory accounting inquiries and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in audit, accounting or finance.
• At least 3 years of people‑leadership experience.
• Fluent English; Polish language proficiency is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and SOX compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• US GAAP expertise.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, etc.).
• Knowledge of inventory accounting processes and controls.
