Lead Research Analyst (English and Portuguese)

About the role

LSEG's World-Check team is looking for a Research Analyst (career stage Associate) to protect the global financial system by identifying potential risks before they become threats. The role helps clients align with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations and reduce exposure to financial and reputational risks. It is a hybrid position (3 days in the office, 2 days at home).

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research using reputable media, government and regulatory sources to maintain accurate risk profiles in LSEG applications.
• Apply open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques to gather and verify information on individuals and entities.
• Analyse data to identify potential risks such as money laundering, fraud, corruption, organised crime and other financial crimes.
• Stay up to date with global regulations and internal guidelines to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with international teams on shared projects to deliver high-quality, timely insights.

Required profile

• Proficiency in English and Portuguese, written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Growth mindset with a strong interest in using AI skills.
• Preferred: awareness of socio-political contexts in Brazil relevant to the language expertise, and familiarity with KYC/AML regulations or financial crime concepts.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques.

What we offer

• Anticipated annual gross base salary of 80,000 to 128,000 PLN, depending on location and experience.
