HR Operations & Payroll Specialist – German & English Speaker

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is looking for an HR Operations & Payroll Specialist who is fluent in German and English to support its teams in Germany, Austria and Poland. Based in Warsaw (or Offenbach) you will act as the operational expert ensuring accurate, compliant payroll and HR administration across the three markets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, validate and reconcile payroll data together with external payroll providers for Germany and Austria.
• Perform HR‑payroll consistency checks and resolve payroll issues promptly.
• Provide payroll backup for Germany and Austria to guarantee on‑time delivery.
• Support end‑to‑end HR administrative processes from hire to exit for the three countries.
• Maintain employee data in Workday and manage digital personnel files.
• Handle HR tickets, coordinate invoices and contracts with vendors, and assist with audits.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase payroll efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payroll and HR operations within a multi‑country environment.
• Strong knowledge of local labour laws in Germany, Austria and Poland.
• High attention to detail, accountability and ability to work independently.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills across several countries.
• Fluent in German and English; Polish is a plus.
